Paver cleaning and sealing
Paver cleaning and sealing is a three step system: a full clean of the paver surface, fresh joint sand worked into the joints, and a sealer coat that brings the colour back and locks the sand in place. It is priced per square foot, quoted after measurement, and booked as its own job over one to two days, because the pavers have to dry fully before sealing. It is never a same day add on to a wash.
Typical prices in the Jacksonville area:
- Full clean, sand and seal: $1.25 to $2.75 per square foot
- Most standard residential work: $1.75 to $2.75 per square foot

Why pavers need the full system
Pavers fail from the joints out. Rain washes the joint sand away, weeds and ants move into the gaps, and the pavers start to shift and rock. The surface then dulls as the original sealer wears off and algae darkens the stone. Cleaning alone fixes none of that for long. Fresh joint sand stabilises the field, and sealer protects the surface, deepens the colour and makes the next clean easier. Sealed pavers in Florida typically need resealing every two to three years.
The process, step by step
- Measure and quote. We measure the area, check the joint condition and quote the exact square footage in writing.
- Clean. The pavers are cleaned and the old, failed joint sand and growth are cleared out of the joints.
- Dry time. The surface has to dry fully. This is the step that sets the schedule, and it is why sealing is booked over one to two days.
- Sand. Fresh joint sand is swept in and compacted so the joints are full and level.
- Seal. Sealer is applied evenly across the field, bringing the colour back and locking the sand in.
- Walk through. We walk the finished area with you and go over cure times before cars or furniture go back on it.
